Nov. 9-1800
Dear Boulton,
My friend Mr John Gisborne of Holly-bush in Needwood Forest has desired me to write to you to solicit from you a refusal of your allotment, if that forest comes to be inclosed (which I hope it will be) if you mean to dispose of it; and I am sure, you can not oblige a more respectable and valuable character who by having married Miss M. Pole and making an extraordinary good husband, is by many names endeared to me.
I shall inclose his letter to me, and am dear Boulton your old and sincere friend.
